News: Cal Fire Mechanic gets 1 year sentence

James Wynalda gets 1 year sentence

A Visalia man was sentenced to a year in county jail and fined $1,300 dollars for his no contest plea to charges of unlawful sex with a child.


Wynalda was arrested by Maricopa Police on Aug. 21, 2007 and charged with committing lewd acts with a child under 16 and oral copulation with a child under 16.

James Wynalda was sentenced lat week in Kern County Superior Court.
He pled no contest to the oral copulation charge on March 5 and the other count was dropped.

Wynalda was a mechanic working for the California Division of Forestry and assigned to the Zaca Fire near Cuyama when he was arrested.



He was staying at a Maricopa motel at the time or his arrest.
