The six-hour mass-casualty exercise is designed to help multiple jurisdictions practice working together, assessing people's injuries and communicating with radios and other equipment, Cal Fire officials said.
The crews will prepare to drive or fly victims to trauma centers in greater San Diego.
The agencies involved will be the Bureau of Land Management, Campo Fire Department, U.S. Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Inter-mountain Rural Fire Protection District, San Diego County Sheriff's Department, and Cal Fire, officials said.
