THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS CANCELLED THE RED FLAG WARNING WHICH WAS IN EFFECT THIS EVENING. A RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 7 PM PDT SUNDAY. LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND NORTHERN NEVADA TONIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY. WINDS THIS EVENING ARE EXPECTED TO SUBSIDE TO AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH IN THE VALLEY AREAS AND NEAR LAKE LEVEL...HOWEVER STRONG WIND GUSTS WILL REMAIN LIKELY ON THE RIDGE TOPS WITH GUSTS OF BETWEEN 60 AND 80 MPH LIKELY. POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERIES ARE ANTICIPATED OVERNIGHT. SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE AGAIN SUNDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON AS DAYTIME HUMIDITIES DROP BELOW 20 PERCENT... CREATING CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
