Tuolumne County Assistant District Attorney Mike Knowles

Sonora, Ca -- The arraignment hearings have been continued until September 12th and the 19th for the seven defendants in the alleged Columbia College firefighter hazing incidents.

The matters were continued to give their attorneys an opportunity to read through the written material, says Assistant District Attorney Michael Knowles.

Christopher Ingram, Brian Cole, Michael Rossi and Aaron Means have been charged with a single count of hazing and one count of unlawful use of force and violence or battery. Charged with one count of hazing without battery are Timothy O'Neil, Michael Sacheli and Cary Gregg.

All seven were allegedly involved with the hazing of a college firefighter this past January.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
