Summary

There will be a coordinated community meeting to assist local residents affected by the Angora Fire at 1900 hrs. tonight Tuesday June 26, 2007.The meetingwill take place at the Lake Tahoe Community College, 1 College Drive, South Lake Tahoe CA.

Heavy timber with large dead and down component. Large amount of snags in the fire area.

Last night the fire continued to consume the large fuels on the ground with occassional single tree torching.

Voluntary evacuations remain in place for much of the affected fire area.

Outlook

Planned Actions

Continue with perimeter control lines, mop up and secure affected subdivisions. Work with the public and communities of South lake Tahoe.

Remarks

Rich Hawkins type 1 IMT will assume command today. The ICP is located at Heavenly Ski Park and is in Unified Command with USFS, South Lake Tahoe City and Lake Valley Fire District. Hwy 50 and 89 are both opened again without restrictions. Acreage increase was due to GPS flight.
