Incident Overview 6/6/13.

The Powerhouse call center number for fire information has been changed to 626-574-5208 starting 6/5/13.
The call centers new hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm starting 6/6/13.
There are no more Press Conferences planned for the Powerhouse fire.
Residents have been allowed back into all of the communities affected by the fire. Proof of residencey is required to gain accesss behind the road closures.
A portion of Pine Canyon Road is still closed and could affect residents' access in that area.
Future fire growth is expected to be minimal.
Crews continue to complete line construction, patrol and mop-up.
Demobilzed of excess resources has increased as fire activity has decreased.
Assessment of suppression repair needs has been completed.

Fuels Involved - Big, old brush (Chaparral) that transitions to light desert scrub.
Fire Behavior - There were several smokes observed in the interior of the burn area. There was isolated open flame spotted in the heavier fuels, on North aspects and in the drainages; however these were well inside the containment lines.
Significant Events - Additional road closures were relaxed today. The following roads remain closed: Lake Hughes Road at Dry Gulch and Sawmill Mountain Road at Lake Hughes Road. The following roads are open to residents only: Munz Ranch Road at Lancaster Road, San Francisquito Canyon Road at Dry Gulch, Elizabeth Lake Road at San Francisquito Canyon Road, 110th Street West at Avenue K, 205th Street West at Lancaster Road, Pine Canyon Road at Three Points, Dry Gulch Road at San Francisquito Canyon Road.

Outlook/Planned Actions - Firefighters will continue to patrol and cool hot spots 300 feet in from the perimeter and around structures, and will improve and construct line as conditions allow.

Terrain Difficulty - High
Remarks - Crews used infrared (IR) coordinates and maps locate and extinguish hot spots within 300 feet of the containment lines. The incident was downsized by approximately 400 personnel today. The demobilization of excess resources will continue, commensurate with the incident needs. Fire suppression repair is being performed.
