RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM PDT THURSDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE NORTH BAY HILLS ABOVE 1000 FEET IN MARIN/SONOMA AND NAPA COUNTIES...
AFFECTED AREA: HILLS ABOVE 1000 FEET IN MARIN/SONOMA AND NAPA COUNTIES. THE AREA OF STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE THE HILLS OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN NAPA COUNTY AS WELL AS AROUND MOUNT ST HELENA.
WINDS: NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS SUSTAINED 15 TO 25 MPH WITH FREQUENT GUSTS 35 TO 40 MPH. STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MIDDAY WEDNESDAY.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY: DROPPING BELOW 30 PERCENT TONIGHT AND THEN STAYING BETWEEN 15 AND 25 PERCENT WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY WITH NO NIGHT TIME RECOVERY.
IMPACTS: ANY IGNITIONS DURING THE PERIOD OF STRONGEST WINDS COULD LEAD TO NEW FIRE STARTS THAT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO SUPPRESS WITH RAPID RATES OF SPREAD.
