CA-LNU-Deer Park - Wildland Fire - 300 acres 100%

Deer Fire incident information

FINAL UPDATE: The Deer Incident, CA-LNU, is 100 percent contained at 300 acres.

Updated: 10-11-08 20:00hrs - 80 percent contained, with full containment expected Sunday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. There have been two reported minor injuries.
Updated: 10-11-08 16:30hrs - 70% contained- Full containment expected Sunday, October 12, 2008.
Structures Threatened: 200 residences and 10 commercial properties are threatened.
Structures Destroyed: 1 residence and 1 outbuilding have been destroyed.
Evacuations: Deer Park between Upper Sanitarium Rd and Four Corners Rd, Crestmont Rd and Staple Ridge Rd remain closed. All other road closures have been lifted.
Voluntary evacuations for the following areas: Oak Street, Pine Place, and Community Hall Rd.
There are also evacuations for the community of Crestmont.
The evacuation center has been closed, however the Red Cross will remain on standby.

Evacuations: Howell Mountain Rd at Upper Sanitarium Rd will continue. All other road closures have been lifted.
Voluntary evacuations for the following areas: Oak Street, Pine Place, Sunnyside Rd., Mund Rd. and Community Hall Rd.
There are also evacuations for the community of Crestmont.
An evacuation center has been established at St. Helena High School.
