Evacuations are nearly complete in the Concow area; new immediate threat evacuations are underway in the Berry Creek area, where the new Bean fires are emergent along Bean Creek Road and moving toward Bald Rock Road in the 2000 block.
A precautionary evacuation order has been invoked for the area of Paradise east of Pentz Road due to unconfirmed reports of spotting along Coutelenc Road.
Temperatures in the valley are very intense already this morning, with 90*F in the shade an hour ago in the east foothills.
Bean IC: New fires, apparently spots, across the Bean Creek drainage (river?) Not certain of the exact location of this one....ah. Up in the vicinity of Frey fire, difficulty with air support due to proximity. Staging at Station 62.
Two or three new fires in the Bean area; Bean IC is busting butt on these little guys trying to keep them from becoming major. They are increasing, with mod-rapid ROS.
Bald Rock area being evacuated/has been evacuated. LEO en route to Berry Creek for evacs, Code 3...
Advice heard that likely want to evacuate Brush Creek area.
It is VERY hot here in the valley, some smoke cover, and very little moving air.
************
CONCOW AREA:
Fire bumping Jordan Hill Road very hard, multiple spots across road with an extensive slopover of crowning fire in one section.

In case anyone needs telling, this is getting seriously ugly....

How fires get their names
Every year in California thousands of wildfires start throughout the state.
In most cases, the dispatch center sending the initial resources to a wildland fire
will designate a name for the fire, but the first on scene engine or fire official can
also name the incident. Fires are usually named for the area in which they start –
a geographical location, local landmark, street, lake, mountain, peak, etc. Quickly
naming the fire provides responding fire resources with an additional locater, and
allows fire officials to track and prioritize incidents by name.
For example during the Southern California Fire Siege of 2003, the largest
wildland fire in California history, the Cedar Fire in San Diego County, was
named after the Cedar Creek Falls area where it started. The destructive Old
Fire, which burned during the same time period in San Bernardino County, was
named after the road along which it started - Old Waterman Canyon Road.

Was evacuated from my home in Camelot/Concow area around 2:00am. Thanks to the reverse 911 call.Didn't have much time to get stuff...got the kids and animals, not much else you can't live without. Glad to be in one piece, feel for the firefighters today, don't think it will be easy. I'm glad they aree here.
God be with my family and friends and firefighters in butte county. not much i can do here in arkansas but pray for their deliverance from the fire.
So thankful for the firefighters. My Grandfather and Aunt were able to get out right in time. As they were leaving they could see the flames heading down towards their home. They lived about 1 1/4 mile up the road from the Camelot area. Their home this morning was confirmed loss with a image of it in the OrovilleMR.
