Actions planned for next operational period:
In Divisions A and D (north and south ends of the fire) hold and improve line, scout for opportunities for direct line construction and develop contingency line. Divisions B and C (east and southeast flanks) Hold line and mop up. Scout for opportunities for indirect line construction in Divisions Y/Z (west flank) limited access and very steep terrain on the west flank. Slight reduction in acreage due to aerial mapping.
Location: Tehama County - West of Paskenta
GPS: Latitude and Longitude- Lat: 39° 53´ 38" Long: 122° 42´ 27"
Initial Attack:10-15 acres west of Paskenta. With structure threat, Air Attack reported approx 30-45 acres spotting some structures ahead of it, Low resources in state.
Values at Risk:
12 hours: The Thomes Creek watershed for the community of Paskenta to the east of the fire. Private ranch dwellings, outbuildings and high value livestock to the south and west. Communications towers to the north.
24 hours: 40,000 acres of high value private timber resources owned by the Crane Mills Timber Company and USFS timber assets to the west of the fire. The Thomes Creek watershed for the community of Paskenta to the east of the fire.
48 hours: Continued threat to high value timber resources to the west of the fire. The Thomes Creek watershed for the community of Paskenta to the east of the fire.
