Fresno firefighters battle wildfire

Fresno Fire Department firefighters continued to douse hot spots this morning at the scene of a blaze that swept through dry brush and a vineyard at the northwest corner of Floradora and Armstrong avenues east of Fresno.

The fire, which covered about 20 acres, was reported at 4:11 a.m. and was declared under control at 5:49 a.m., Chris Garcia, a fire investigator, reported.

No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported.

Eight trucks and 23 firefighters responded to the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined
