CA-FKU- Tar Fire - 1,800 acres 0 % percent containment

TAR Fire CA-FKU-008730 is currently 1,800 acres 0 % percent containment.
This incident is state responsibility and is located 9 Miles south west, near the community of Avenal in Kings County. Fire continues burning brass and brush north into Fresno Co, from Kings County in difficult terrain, steep mountains, inaccessible for engines. Fire is a threat to electrical transmission lines and infrastructure for the main power grid to Diablo Canyon. Fire made significant runs overnight. Team #9 (Windsor) has been activated with a tentative transition planned for the morning of 8/12/07.
This fire has the potential to burn 30,000 acres and into San Luis and Monterey Counties.
