Zaca Fire - Update - 6,300 acres - 15 percent contained

Zaca Fire

15 miles northeast of Buellton

Santa Barbara County

This fire has burned 6,300 acres and is now 15 percent contained. The Zaca Fire started on July 4 and is burning in steep and rocky terrain.

Cachuma and Figueroa Recreation Areas including San Rafael Wilderness have been evacuated Over one thousand firefighters are assigned to this fire. A CAL FIRE Incident Command Team is in unified command with Santa Barbara County Fire and the US Forest Service.
