.SCATTERED DRY LIGHTNING WILL DEVELOP AS A MINOR DISTURBANCE MOVES NORTH THROUGH CALIFORNIA TUESDAY. ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM PDT WEDNESDAY... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS CANCELLED... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM PDT WEDNESDAY. THIS UPGRADES AND REPLACES THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH. AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE IS MOVING NORTH FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THIS MORNING AND IS BRINGING WITH IT MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR TODAY AND TONIGHT AS IT MOVES THROUGH SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. THIS SYSTEM WILL BE THE MAIN TRIGGER FOR THUNDERSTORMS. THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BE VERY DRY IN THE LOWER LEVELS DURING THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY...RESULTING IN THE POTENTIAL FOR A DRY LIGHTNING EVENT.
