EDIS Fire weather watch remains in effect SURPRISE VALLEY CALIFORNIA-EASTERN LASSEN COUNTY-WEST CENTRAL NEVADA BASIN AND RANGE-NORTHERN WASHOE COUNTY-

[EDIS] fire weather watch remains in effect from friday afternoon through friday evening due to significant lightning potential and strong outflow winds

SURPRISE VALLEY CALIFORNIA-EASTERN LASSEN COUNTY-WEST CENTRAL NEVADA BASIN AND RANGE-NORTHERN WASHOE COUNTY-

A FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

Instruction:
LOW PRESSURE APPROACHING THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL BRING UNSTABLE CONDITIONS AND A THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF LIGHTNING FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. HOT AND DRY SURFACE CONDITIONS WILL LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF RAINFALL THAT REACHES THE GROUND...HOWEVER SOME STORMS MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL. STRONG OUTFLOW WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WHICH CAN CREATE ERRATIC WIND SHIFTS. A FIRE WEATHER WATCH MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO OCCUR.
