CA-MEU-Pass IC - WILDLAND FIRE

LOCATION: Mendocino Ranger Unit, MNF in the area of Schoolhouse Flats. Reporting large, visible column, growing rapidly, request additional available resources (air & ground) to be dispatched now.
Engines 52, 53 responding to incident
SIZEUP: Engine 52 reporting fire at least 10 acres, rapid R.O.S., running hard uphill, structures in area. POTENTIAL 500 ACRES

UPDATES:
  • 300 acres at this time, wind driven, two structures immediate threat, multiple other structures out in front.
  • Initial size up earlier was from Engine 52 while enroute but Capt. stated he was looking at fire with large potential, Very active fire.
