USAR FEMA USAID response features 3 California Teams

USAID FEMA Haitian Earthquake response - A work in progress
There are 28 FEMA USAR Task Forces, spread throughout the United States. trained and equipped by FEMA.
The following have been tasked for an Haiti assignment already, A total of ten teams expected to deploy to Haiti.
• Fairfax County, VA - US&R VA-TF1 (Heavy/medium teams, 115 personnel)
• Los Angeles, CA - US&R CA-TF2 (72 personnel)
• Miami-Dade, FL - US&R FL-TF1 (82 personnel)
• Miami, FL - US&R FL-TF2 (84 personnel)
• Additional US&R teams have been activated for deployment.
• US&R Incident Support Team (IST) is activated and staging out of Homestead ARB, FL

FEMA USAR TEAMS - California CA-TF2: First FEMA USAR team up in California task force from the Los Angeles County Fire Department left for Haiti late Wednesday night. About 10:20 hrs this was tweeted ->USAR CA-TF2 has arrived in Haiti. Cal Task Force 7. (USAR) made it to Travis AFB this morning. Waiting for flight to Haiti.
