CA-CNF-TENAJA - 107 acres heavy fuel, Rapid ROS 100%

01-16-10 0800hrs  (FINAL), located 5 miles west of Lake Elsinore (Riverside Co.) burned 107 acres  is 100% contained. All CAL FIRE crews released 
Tenaja CA-CNF-0001325  Fire burned 120 acres of heavy brush and is 35% percent contained.  Fire location is at Star Ranch, off Highway 74 near Tenaja Truck Trail and the Orange County line, in the Cleveland National Forest.  Approximately 200 residences in the community of Rancho Carrilo were threatened with values at risk listed as the Upper San Juan CG, Ortega Oak CG (Pvt), Sitton Peak Repeater Site.  Fire had rapid rates of spread in steep terrain with 12-30’ foot flame lengths observed and numerous spot fires outside fire perimeter. Winds gusts were recorded at about 45 mph hampering suppression efforts.  Staff from the Girl Scout camp has been allowed to return to the camp, as they were evacuated as a precaution. The Ortega Highway (SR HWY 74) was closed for a short time and has reopened to thru traffic.  Some excess resources have begun demob as good progress is being made with line construction and mop up to continue today.   1 Air Tactical (CALFIRE) 4 T/3 Air tankers (CALFIRE) and 2 T/2 Helios (1 CALFIRE 1 Local Gvmnt) are assigned. 1 CWN T/1 Helio on order. A total of 156 Firefighters are assigned. 01-15-10 0800hrs 150 acres
1600 hrs 125 acres, 10% containment, T-88 & 85 responded 10 minutes ago from Ramona AAB
1345 hrs -Update form Tenaja IC , 50 acres 10% containment , bumping the ridge, with NW wind potential of a couple hundred acres.

Evacuation of Girl Scout camp completed, Large Header visible from Hemet, Appears to have Rapid Rate of Spread.

THE CLEVELAND NATIONAL FOREST HAS ESTABLISHED AN INCIDENT INFORMATION LINE: (951) 736-1811.

IA: CNF working fire off Tenaja, initial reports 10acs, mild east wind. requesting aircraft and strike teams, girl scout camp nearby.  
Location: Ortega Hwy x Tenaja Truck trail in Cleveland Nat Forest | fire is west of Murrieta/Temecula, Ortego Oaks not yet a problem but could be.
Resources: ORC ST enroute plus 2 copters RRU ST enroute plus Copter 301 and 4 crews and 2 dozers 
New resource orders: Type 1 S/T on order from Riverside County 2 type 3 S/T on order from OCFA 4 Watertenders E-21,E-35, E-45, WT-2 en route from CNF
