CA-LPF- Ponderosa - Wildland Fire 250 acres with a potential to triple in size.

Wildfire 16 mile S of Nepenthe, zero containment. Very large header, Large orders for crews and aircraft. Steep and rugged terrain. Just outside Chalk Fire Burn from last year in Negro drainage.
Update: 23:00 - New fire on Fort Hunter Liggett is about 600 acres, Bear Divide IHC arrived at ICP. Air Attack just requested the same # of helicopters as today for tomorrow, and a total of 9 air tankers for tomorrow.
Update: 14:00 - Transition to Type 2 IC team tomorrow 0700, good progress made last night and today on div Z on right flank.
Update: 13:30 Per Southops: Ponderosa CA-LPF-2563, The fire has burned 250 acres with a potential to triple in size. Ponderosa and Nacimiento Campgrounds have been evacuated. The Nacimiento-Ferguson Road has been closed. Smith’s Type II Incident Management Team has been assigned to the fire.

Update: 13:15 - Radio traffic has it at 150 acres, Header can be seen for miles, Type II team ordered.
Update:12:30 - Air Attack 13 is en route and Lead 57 is a few minutes out per scanner traffic. AFV - Hot Shots en route, Laguna, Del Rosa IHC, Texas Canyon IHC, left am. for Ponderosa.
Update: 11:00 - BEU, SLU Type three strike teams en-route.
Update: 10:30 Tanker 48 load and return at Paso Robles Air Base.

Helicopter Copter-406 BEU BEU, SLU sent a type 3 s/t as well USFS Engine out of Los Olivos arrived there this morning around 0730.
