CA-SBF- Mckinley - 150 acres, 100% Contained, SBNF June lightning series overview

Current Situation: 150 acres , 100% contained.
Assigned resources: For this fire and associated other fires in the area: Del Rosa Hotshots, Mill Creek Hotshots, Bear Divide Hotshots, Redding Smoke Jumpers, 2 Helicopters, 1 Helitanker,1 Air Attack, 2 Airtankers, Misc. Overhead.
Terrain: Very difficult

SBNF June lightning series incident overview:

The San Bernardino National Forest is working about 24 lightning related fires on the Forest, including at least 5 fires in the San Gorgonio Wilderness.
Other Small Lightning Fires - Plunge (E of Running Springs), Cucamonga (S. of Cucamonga Peak), Clearwater (N. of Cucamonga Peak), Dogwood (North of Dogwood Campground S. of Arrowhead - Single Tree), Thurman Fire (N of Thurman Picnic grounds - single tree), Thomas Fire (Thomas Hunting Grounds along 1N12 - Single Tree), Gravel Fire (Hwy 15, Old Sand & Gravel Pits), Cajon Mtn. (Single Tree), Narrows (Crestline - single tree), Wilshire 2 near Oak Glen - single tree). Hillside (Highway 138 & 173 - single tree).

Weather: Thunderstorms are possible today through Saturday morning with about a 20% chance for showers.

Update: 66-5-09 -AM -
Fire activity was mild over night. Aircraft is flying over the forest today to monitor fire activity.

* The Peak fire, near San Bernardino Peak, is about 20 acres and is currently the most active fire. 50% contained.
* The Wilshire fire, near Galena Peak (Oak Glen Area), was last reported at 5-6 acres. 100% contained.
* The Arrowhead Fire (near the mouth of Waterman Canyon) burned approx 1/2 acre in light brush and is contained.
* Cactus Fire, in the San Jacinto Mtns. near Cranston is contained.
* Jumpoff Fire, near Yucaipa Ridge, is contained.
* Monkeyface Fire, near the Junction of Hwy 38 and Forest Falls, is at 5 acres.
* The Falls Fire, near Mountain Home Village, is out.
* The Boundary Fire, south of Lake Arrowhead, was a spot fire that is now contained.
* A small spot fire in the Miller Canyon area is contained.
* Ontario Fire, single tree.
* San Sevaine Fire, single tree fire is now 90% contained.
* Goat Fire, Sawmill Canyon, near San Gorgonio WIlderness, single snag.
* Several other single tree fires have also been reported across the forest and are being worked or are now contained.
