CA-BTU-Swedes Butte County Wildfire CAL FIRE Butte Unit

All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted.
Evacuation warnings are being issued for Forbestown Road from Lumpkin Road to Old Olive Highway and for all portions of Hurleton Road. All of Hurleton Road, Hurles Circle, Mackey Court, Mather Lane, Hershel Lane, Roosa Way, Romelt Lane, Angel Way, Nice Place, Finlayson Court, Stringtown Road, Diamond Bar Court, Gold View Court, Gloriana Road, Harry Lane, Old Post Drive, Kim Drive, Mountain Oak Road, Empire Point Drive, Lothrop Lane, Maidu Run, Dancing Wind Drive, Summer View Drive, Rebel Lane, Elams Ranch Road, Wicks Way, Lakeview Ridge Road.

Update 8-22 0900: 2,462 acres, 95% contained. Expected containment today. CALFIRE IMT 1 (Zombro). Fire line suppression continues. Demobilization of excess resources continues.
Update 8-21 1900:  2,462 acres, 95% contained. Expected containment 8/22/2013. CAL FIRE IMT 1 (Zombro). Creeping and smoldering. Fire suppression repair being conducted.
Update 8-21 0900: 2,462 acres, 90% contained. Expected containment 8/22/2013. CAL FIRE IMT 1 (Zombro). Creeping and smoldering fire behavior observed. Unburned interior islands continue to burn. Diminishing threat to PG&E power grid.
Update 8-20 1900: 2,462 acres, 90% containment. Expected containment 8/22/2013. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. Burning of interior islands remains a concern. Continued threat to PG&E power grid. Red Flag Warning in the fire area remains in effect.
Update 8-20 0900: 2,139 acres, 75% contained. Estimated containment 8/22/2013. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted. Firefighters will continue to improve existing control lines to keep the fire east of Oro Bangor Highway, north of Swedes Flat Road, west of Hurleton Swedes Flat Road and south of Forbestown Road.
Update 8-19 0900:  1,995 acres, 45% contained. Estimated containment: 08/22/2013. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. Terrain driven winds allowed for rapid rates of spread in all directions after inversion lift. Single tree torching with spotting to 1/4 mile observed. 
Update 8-18 2000: 1,995 acres, 45% contained. Estimated containment: 08/21/2013. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. Terrain driven winds allowed for rapid rates of spread in all directions after inversion lift. Single tree torching with spotting to 1/4 mile observed. Limited access with steep terrain, narrow roads, immediate threat and evacuations in the Hurleton area. Expected down slope winds this evening could impact the west and north flanks of the fire hitting decision points for additional evacuations in the Kelly Ridge, Wyandotte communities.
Update 8-18 0700: 1,850 acres, 20% contained. CAL FIRE Team 1, Zombro. Fire is burning north and east in oak/grass woodland with areas of heavy brush, moderate to steep terrain with limited access.  Potential to grow to 2500-3000 acres.  Immediate threat to approximately 300+ structures the community of Hurleton and approximately 1000-1200 residents, with threat to water shed and PG&E power grid.
Update 8-17 0700: 1,200 acres, 20% contained. Fire is located northwest of Bangor. Evacuations in place along Oro-Bangor Hwy north of Swedes Flat Road. Immediate threat to 200 structures.
Update 2100:  2 Wildfires  207 acres - 30% contained 28 acres - 100% contained  
Update 1745: Report of residents trapped in the area and unable to get out. States his home is also burning. also report 459 Chinese Wall Road - 20 people trapped with no shelter.
