Number of Units: Multiple units from a 3rd alarm request.
Damage to property: $ 51,000.00
Property Saved: $ 200,000.00
Injuries:
· Reports received through 911 dispatch of a grass fire to the rear of a vacant residential home.
· San Bernardino Fire unit’s en-route observed multiple fires in the area of the 3300 block of N G St.
· Additional fire units were ordered to help with the 8 different fires in a quarter mile area.
· San Bernardino Arson Investigators and San Bernardino City Police department quickly saturated the area looking for a suspect or evidence.
· A thorough investigation by the San Bernardino City Arson team led to a person of interest that was detained and questioned in coordination with law enforcement.
· One vacant residence, a backyard gazebo and a motorhome sustained damage from the fires.
· Firefighters were able to locate and contain all fires within an hour.
· San Bernardino City Fire Department Arson Task Force and San Bernardino City Police Department have arrested a 46 year old female and she is being charged with multiple counts of arson.
