CA-RRU- De Luz IC - Wildland Vegetation Fire - 97 acres 40%

De Luz IC - Vegetation fire in De Luz area in Temecula, Riverside County
Del Luz Fire moving into City of Temecula, A Reverse 911 evacuation call went out to the businesses between Rio Nedo and the city boundary to the north and Diaz to the east.
Evacuations are underway.

Update: 2100 hrs - fire now smoldering with 40% containment; 94 acres burnt,
Update: 1818 hrs - S/T 9930C leaving San Diego, enroute fire in RRU. -CALFIRESANDIEGO
Update: 1730 hrs - The fire is 100 acres and 10% contained. No injuries, No structures burned.
Update: 1710 hrs - No structures have been burned. The existing fuel break is helping to contain the fire.
Update: 1605 hrs - 100+ acres, Businesses in the area near Rancho California and Avenida Del Oro were evacuated earlier. Residential structures threatened by the fire, but firefighters saved those residences.
Update: 1535 hrs - Fire is approximately 75-100 acres burning in heavy fuels at a moderate rate. The fire has a 10-15 mph south east wind pushing the fire toward Winchester Road. Rancho California Road has been closed in both directions at Business Center Drive.
Update: 1530hrs - IC reports 75-100 acres at this time.

Update: 1520hrs - CNF is sending a BC, 5 engines, WT, Hotshot crew, One type I helitanker and two additional tac frequencies requested.
Update: 1510hrs - Fire is 25-35 acres , steep terrain, 15-20 MPH downslope winds , burning toward City of Temecula, 3 addtl Type 1 crews requested
15 - 20 mph downslope winds towards Temecula, may have threats to some residential homes and commercial property.
Update: 1500hrs - Resource request: 10 closest engines, 1 comm unit, 2 div sups
Update: 1459 hrs - IC ordered 2 additional air tankers and 1 type 2 helicopter.
