Initial attack activity was light yesterday and no new large fires were reported.

Crews and Incident Management Teams were sent to Atlanta, Georgia, Denton, Texas to support Hurricane Gustav recovery operations.

Weather Discussion: Northern California and southwest Oregon will be warm and dry today with gusty north to northeast winds. Otherwise, most of the West will be dry and mild except for showers over Montana and Wyoming.

Gladding (Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit, Cal Fire): This fire was contained at 960 acres.

Lonesome Complex (Rogue River National Forest): 963 acres at 35 percent contained. This complex of three fires is 20 miles northeast of Prospect. Fire activity was minimal. Information: Visit the web site.
Rattle (Umpqua National Forest): 960 acres at zero percent contained. This fire is 30 miles east of Glide. Firefighters are managing the incident as a confine and contain management strategy.
