News: Camp Fire burned 106 Concow homes, 1 dead

CHICO -- After an initial estimate that 50 homes burned when flames from the Camp Fire raced through Concow on July 7 and 8, officials have now raised the total to 106, and the number of outbuildings lost remained at 11 Wednesday.
Cal Fire Capt. Scott McLean said officials expect 106 to remain the final figure.

One Concow man, died in the fire.

Investigating teams made up of Cal Fire, along with Butte County personnel have been continuously inspecting Concow neighborhoods and just last week had increased the number of homes destroyed by flames from 50 to 71.

60,000 acres have burned, Cost to fight the fires as of Wednesday - $76 million, Full containment is expected today.
