Bencher Fire - 500 acres

Bencher Fire -
Mandatory evacuations -The evacuations are in an area near Cassel and Sand Pit roads, Residents of at least 40 homes are being ordered to evacuate as a Wildland fire approches.
Primary evacuation center: Currently being staged at the Mountain Christian Academy near Cassel on Highway 299, said Craig Harrington, publisher of the Intermountain News in Burney. Residents who want to evacuate will be able to move to Burney High School later in the day.
Location: Near Cassel and Sand Pit roads, East of Burney - south of Highway 299 east of Highway 89
Current sizeup: 500 acres .
