CA-INF-Honey bee- WUF FIRE -1,225 acres

Honey bee (CA-INF-282) 5-18 1800hrs
Fire has consumed 1,225 acres of 2 Timber (grass and under story) and is a WFIP Stage II. Low humidity's observed this afternoon, has increased fire behavior on the south east portion at 9000 ft elevation, near the Sierra Crest.
A low pressure system forecast for Tuesday will change wind direction from the North West with strong sustained winds predicted. This will push most of the fire area onto itself. But the current fire activity today was venerable to strong northwest winds

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
