VCFPD - Fire district plans controlled burns - Ojai

VMP - Ventura County - Vegetation Management controlled burns

The Ventura County Fire Protection District and CAL FIRE plan to burn Vegetation and dried brush piles along Sisar Road in Upper Ojai to reduce the risk of wildfires, authorities said.

When weather permits, the controlled burns will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today through Jan. 31 subject to cancellation.

In cooperation with the California Department of Forestry and Ventura County Air Pollution District, the fire protection district will burn piles of dried, cut and stacked vegetation in stages to minimize the amount of smoke and health concerns from the 412-acre clearance project.

Please cooperate with signs posted in the area announcing the burns, The communities support is encouraged and needed for this project.
