.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED NEAR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL MOVE SLOWLY INLAND AND ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST SURFACE WINDS ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NEVADA AND EXTREME NORTHWEST ARIZONA THROUGH SUNDAY. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT WILL ALLOW SOUTHWEST WINDS TO INCREASE BY LATE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING. WIND GUSTS TO BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH WILL OCCUR OVER MUCH OF THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THESE WINDS... COMBINE WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WELL BELOW 15 PERCENT... WILL CREATE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE WINDS WILL DECREASE BY LATE EVENING... HOWEVER ONLY POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERY IS EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

Instruction:
A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING OR ARE IMMINENT. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS... LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
