THE MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS OF LOS ANGELES...VENTURA...AND
SANTA BARBARA COUNTIES DUE TO HOT TEMPERATURES AND INCREASING

.A PROLONGED HEAT WAVE WILL CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH
TUESDAY. THE HOT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH LOW HUMIDITIES...RELATIVELY
LIGHT WINDS...AND INCREASING INSTABILITY WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR
LARGE PLUME DOMINATED FIRE GROWTH OVER THE LOCAL MOUNTAINS AND
ADJACENT FOOTHILLS TODAY IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS. WHILE HUMIDITIES WILL BE

* FIRE BEHAVIOR...ANY FIRE IGNITION WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR
  LARGE PLUME DOMINATED GROWTH OVER THE MOUNTAINS DUE TO HOT
  TEMPERATURES...LOW HUMIDITIES...RELATIVELY LIGHT WINDS...INCREASING
  INSTABILITY...AND EXTREMELY DRY FUELS.

* IMPACTS...IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS...THERE COULD BE RAPID SPREAD
  OF WILDFIRE THAT WOULD LEAD TO A THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY.
