Number of units: 8 Medic Engines, 2 Truck Companies, 2 Battalion Chiefs

Number of firefighters: 32 Firefighters and 2 Chief Officers

Property Saved: Undetermined

Additional Information:
  • SBFD units responded to a single alarm residential structure fire report in the area of Lugo and 21st.
  • Upon arrival, ME224 reported heavy smoke and fire coming from a detached garage.
  • Multiple exposures were threatened so a 2nd alarm was dispatched.
  • Multiple power lines down hampered firefighting efforts initially due to firefighter safety concerns. 
  • Intial fire crews controlled the fire within 20 minutes.
  • Fire cause is under investigation.
