San Bernardino City Firefighters made quick work of slow moving 2 acre brush fire


San Bernardino City Brush fire threatens homes

Date: May 16, 2013

Location: 2514 West Amanda Lane

Time of initial call: 9:55 p.m.

First unit on scene: 10:03 p.m.                     Fire under control: 10:41 p.m.

Number of Fire units: 8                                Number of Firefighters: 25

Injuries: 0                   Fatalities: 0    

Number of persons transported to Hospitals: 0

Property Loss/Damage: Property $0 Contents $0

Property valued N/A

Additional information: When San Bernardino City Fire Units arrived; they found a slow moving brush fire in a vacant lot, heading northeast towards four homes along Amanda Lane, just South of Pacific. Firefighters made quick work of laying out several hundred feet of hose to surround the fire and contain the two-acre fire before it reached four occupied residences on Amanda Lane.
No structures were damaged. No injuries to firefighters or residents. Fire was contained to two acres.
